Being a BOSS

Working in a restaurant is a hard thing to do. It pays OK but my feet is killing me . After a long and busy day at work the next day i can barely walk . My back is aching ....my kidneys say "NO MORE" and i don't have the hands that i used to have in the past . Now after my boss opened his new restaurant everybody wants to be a little boss over the heads of others. My question is : WHY? What is the point of being a boss in restaurant beside money? Being a boss requires lots of skills, especially people skills and lots of patience when talking and listening to the people under you.
When you become a little boss in a firm ....or a restaurant ...if things go wrong you take the blame. It's your fault because you couldn't take the lead and organize your employees .
I have to admit i would love to be some kind of boss but i also know that i do not have the skills for it. I am always nice to people...when i need something to be done i ask politely and perhaps some of my work mates interpret it as silly and naive. Well ...Hey ...this is me. This is how my mother raised me to be...and i will not change for any other position and money my boss would give to me.

The waitress with no brain or memory....

Have you ever had to deal with stupid waiters ??? I had to deal with the most stupid of all. I was out of town and didn't knew the area so well so when i saw i nice looking restaurant i said : This is where i can eat something good. ...."NOT".... [quote from Borat] . I had my usual 3 coffees per day there and i was ready to order something to eat. As i was flicking through the menu i get to a page where it says : MENU OF THE DAY and a price.
Out of curiosity i ask the waitress what is the menu of the day ?
She answers : " Well...[ scratching her head] it's.... aaaahhhh....potatoes with...aaaahhh. "
I: " Well go to the bar and ask the bartender ...if you do not know."

After 5 minutes she comes back: " The menu of the day is potatoes with pork ."
I said thank you and asked her to come back later because their menu of the day didn't sound that appealing to me.

I finally decide to take a traditional Romanian food served only in my side of the country: TOCHITURA MOLDOVENEASCA. It's pork fried in it's own juice with polenta , cheese and eggs . I call the waitress again and ask her: "Does this has polenta ,cheese and eggs ?"
She answears: " Ahhhhhh [ scratching her head again] I DON'T KNOW!"

I had that and it was OK....a bit too dry but eatable .

Why the caption to this post is "The waitress with no brain or memory"? Well i hope you can see my point!!!

Mamma Mia !!! Cuza Voda Street

I can start by saying Mamma Mia indeed. Not in a good way...unfortunately !!!
I was hungry...no STARVING..... I go inside the place searching for food. Fighting through the crowd =)) [ not really but i just want to give to my story a tragic shade ] i get to sit down at one of the tables .

I find a familiar face ...phew ! " Hey ! How are you? You are working here? How's the food?" His answer was clear: "It sucks!"

I order ...and my heart is filled with happiness when i see my food . I had chicken wings with french fries and a salad. Sounds good...right? Tastes like cr**p . From my knowledge chicken meat should be white not red . I had a first bite and my stomach said : No MORE!!! It tasted like it was fried in stale oil ....and and it took no more than 5 minutes to "make" me go to the bathroom. Ouch!!!

I should have listened ...

Yet is hard for me to understand why people still eat there when everyone agrees that the food SUCKS?!?!? It might be close to home....or work .
I have to admit that i didn't had to wait a long time for my food to arrive....but that was an unpleasant surprise in this case. The waiter was nice .... a bit too skinny .... i guess he's always eating there ;))
